Olivia Nalwadda
A youth road safety activist and public health enthusiast with over 6 years’ experience in designing and leading road safety promotion projects. Founder of UZIMA ARI UGANDA, a youth focused organization that aims at empowering young people to lead and implement local actions geared towards realization of the Global Health Agenda. Olivia is also a Youth Leadership Board Member at the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety and has made numerous contributions to global discussions on meaningful engagement of youth in road safety including the 3rd Ministerial Conference on road Safety and the 2022 Design for Life Forum organized by FIA Foundation. At national level, Olivia has campaigned for and initiated numerous projects advocating for the right to safe and healthy mobility for children, youth, and persons with disabilities. She implemented the Together for Safer School Journeys project (TOSS-365) in Eastern Uganda and is one of the winners of the 2023 YOURS local actions grant implementing the one-year ‘Walk with Me: Healthier and Greener Journeys’ Project.
