Our partners VIVO Energy Uganda, are going to re-launch “Heads Up” - a child Helmet wearing program, promoting the wearing of Helmets for school going children who travel using Boda bodas.

Previously, this idea was started in 2019 where we trained over 6 schools and had planned to continue the training sessions even in 2020 which didn`t happen because of COVID 19 lockdown. As a result, schools closed. We had to put this campaign on hold till now.

VIVO Energy is going to re-launch it on Tuesday, 11th July 2023 at Shimon Primary school. Thereafter, we will go to 6 other schools to teach children on the importance of wearing helmets and the dangers of not wearing them.

The Minister of State for Primary Education, Hon. Dr Joyce Kaducu Moriku will be the guest of honor. There will be representatives/key stakeholders from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Ministry of Works, Roads and Transport, Ministry of Education and Traffic Police.

This is a VIVO Energy project in partnership with Consult Afrika Usalama, the coordinator and implementer on their behalf.
